Inner power - How recognize it?

We all possess various inner powers, but they are in a dormant state. in order to awaken these inner powers and start using them, special training and  inner work are required. However, sometimes, due to various factors, they might manifest unexpectedly, in certain circumstances.
There is a brief story of young boy Arun who was always afraid  of speaking up in a group. let us go through the story about  how  Arun recognize his talent.
Consider the story of young Arun. His friends ran the Dramatics Club of their college. Arun had never really thoughts of himself as an actor. In fact, he believed that he had no talent in dramatics at all. He was an introvert and was afraid of speaking up in a group, so he tried to stay happy with just being the audience. An inter-college street play competition was impending and the Dramatic Club was trying hard to come up with a powerful script for that. However, whatever they were coming up with sounded hollow and fake. Repeated discussions and attempts were bringing their moral down. Arun, as always, was carefully watching all this. At times, he felt that he knew exactly why one of their scripts wasn’t working and what could be done to make it work. But because he thought that they knew their jobs better than he did, he couldn’t muster the courage to offer suggestions. However, after a while he couldn’t bear to see his friends look so dejected. He thought there could be no harm in sharing what he felt. In a small, unsure voice, he said, “I feel…v” no one heard him. So, he continued in a louder voice, “that your hero is too unbelievably noble. You should try to make him more like you and me, the common man. This will make your story more relatable.” Now everyone was listening. They asked him to be more specific and initially were not completely receptive to his suggestions. But speaking up once had given him courage. He felt that he too could contribute. Therefore, he went on, “Your story is about the struggles of a common man, your hero needs to have faults and weakness like all of us do. Your story should depict how he overcome internal and external challenges to emerge a victor.” He pointed out at exactly what points the script could be tweaked so that the story become more relatable.Gradually, everyone started seeing the merits in his suggestions and he was requested to assist the director of the play. Soon, the competition was over and their Dramatic Club had won. Arun couldn’t believe the distance he had travelled over the last few days. From thinking that he had no talent I the area of dramatics, he had now successfully helped direct a play that had been loved by audience and critics alike.
From where din Arun suddenly get this talent? He, in fact, always had it in him. It was lying dormant, waiting for Arun to nurture it and to give it a chance to flourish.
The day we realize our true worth and the fact that we are capable of transcending the physical, emotional, and mental limitations we have imposed upon ourselves, we will certainly succeed where we had previously failed. So far, we choose weakness. When we choose power, we will positively become whatever we have chosen to do.
As an exercise, try to do think of a really tough time in your life or a situation that you have now left behind. It could be losing someone close to you, or not landing a coveted job. It could be anything that made you feel that you can’t go on or can’t achieve something. Try to remember how you survived it, overcame it. What did you do to keep yourself sane during that time? Did you know you could do it before you had actually gone ahead and done it? Do you now think you can handle the same situation again? Most probably, your answer is “yes” to this last question. The power that helped you overcome the situation was always there inside you. It helped you learn things about yourself that you did not know earlier. It helped you appreciate your human strengths. And it is still there waiting to be called to the surface, so that it can tell you more about yourself.
Now, take a moment and congratulate yourself for successfully overcoming the situation. Give yourself a pat on the back for the way you handled yourself during the challenge. It’s okay to feel proud of yourself for this.
We do not do this enough. We do not appreciate ourselves enough. On the contrary, we are quick to find faults with everything we do. While it is okay to recognize your mistakes and learn from them, it is equally important to acknowledge your strengths and success. This will give you the confidence to carry on, and to achieve bigger goals. This will also help you hold your ground when you run into a tough situation again.

All the powers that you need to emerge a victor are already within you. You need to have faith in them. The creator has equipped you with all the weapons you need to fight any situation, and they will come to your rescue whenever there is a need, provided you believe in them.
